THANK YOU TO OUR
Camp Brian is a grass roots effort inspired by our friend, Brian Camp, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's at age 38. Brian's disease is progressive and like many with early onset his ability to earn a living was compromised in the prime of his career while his children were still quite young. This motivated a group of his high school friends to rally around him, offering emotional and financial support. Over time this grew into what is now a non-profit organization with a broader reach in supporting the Parkinson's Community. This is Brian's wish.
We came to learn that the emotional and financial challenges for early onset patients can be as debilitating as the physical effects of the disease. Our goal is to help Brian and other patients by providing, assistance and financial grants to help ease some of the additional burden individuals and families face in their journey through Parkinson's. Most recently we have realized a dream of expanding access to wellness programs in Snohomish County through our sustaining support of the Rock Steady Boxing Program at Snohomish Fitness where patients gather and engage in supervised classes with certified trainers. The drills are specifically designed to help patients with Parkinson's and other movement disorders. We are thrilled to announce the program is growing with the opening of a second facility in 2018.
